Refers to prototype-drawings/schematics that turned out NOT to be quite "what da doctor ordered" --- i.e., they may have looked good on paper, but there were significant miscalculations/oversights, causing parts of the creation to break, fall apart, bind, be too long/short, not fit, etc.
When the Pink Panther beamingly showed the Little Big-Nosed Guy his drawn idea for a fantastical "dream house", the midget builder scoffingly waved the plans off as nuthin' but a stack of cloud-cuckoo blooperints!

To avoid being sent to a cerectional facility, I wear an abdominal cup whenever I have to venture out in public where I'm likely to see voluptuous scantily-clad women; this way, da entire front of my pants bulges out in a huge rounded protrusion while my dick can invisibly rise and fall freely inside da cup's hollow interior, and so it appears to observers like I am merely afflicted with bloated intestines.

Tongue-in-cheek reference to Texaco's seemingly-insignificant error of drilling a 14"-diameter bore-hole into da roof of da Diamond Crystal Salt Company's hacked-out chasm underneath Lake Pigneur; as we all know, though, said comparatively-tiny geological puncture was ANYTHING BUT "miner" --- I mean, minor!
Poking a merely-foot-two-inch-diameter hole into da roof of a hollowed-out salt-cavern may indeed not sound very serious or dangerous, but when you consider dat (1) there was an entire lake on top of said fissure, and (2) da material surrounding said unintended vent was largely composed of readily-dissolvable salt --- which of course would just erode away and thus rapidly make said erroneous orifice progressively bigger --- said "miner mistake" was hardly "small potatoes", after all!!

Boss Hogg's henchmen would dismissively scoff at da Duke Boys' using merely traditional Native-American weapons over their own seemingly-superior powder-and-lead firearms during wild car-chases, but they were not counting on da exceptional arrowdynamics of da Duo Cousins' projectiles, not to mention da fact dat said wooden/aluminum staffs were fitted with dynamite-sticks on their tips.

Ethan Couch's outrageously-wealthy and preposterously-doting father actually offered to buy the entire school (and therefore be in a position to dictate how it was run) just so that his "little prince" could be excessively coddled and treated in the overly-privileged way that he desired, and thus be relieved of his frequent squawllk-incidents that ocurred whenever the staff were merely trying to compel him to behave in a rational and cooperative manner towards them and his fellow classmates.

In Shakespeare's play "Henry The Fourth", Glendower boasts that he has the power to "call spirits from the vasty deep", to which Hotspur sarcastically retorts, "Why, so can I, or so can any man --- but will they come when you do call for them?" He should have added, "And if they do not, canst thou prosecute them for 'failure to appear'?"
