Turkquoise
Experiencing a refreshing "professional' bath and massage is even more delightful if the bathing-pool is lined with luscious-hued tiles of seawater-colored Turkquoise, which enhances the clear-wavery "heated-mineral-springs" look of the water.

musical reassurance
Refers to da cheerful/casual whistling/humming/singing dat you're always super-glad/relieved to hear emanating from a mechanic, carpenter, or other repairman as he's working on your in-need-of-fixing item, since this unflustered tune-making indicates that whatever mending/alterations which are required to restore your device are merely "all in a day's work" or "old hat" with him; i.e., he's confidently proceeding with the task and is not concerned that there will be any snags. problems, or delays in said repairs.
Hearing the gloriously-welcome musical reassurance from a service-person produces a similar radiant hopefulness that you experience from being present during an "Ohhhhhhh...!" moment, since in both cases you feel pleasantly relieved that your device is indeed not irreparably damaged/worn/aged, and therefore it will probably be up-and-running again in a fairly short time.

alligrater
A large scaly reptile that uses its rough-textured back to shred cheese, garlic, and other culinary ingredients that need to be finely chopped.
Flipping over on your back and writhing around on top of large quantites of recipe-ingredients to pulverize them may not sound like your idea of fun, but it's merely "all in a day's work" for an alligrater.

aeronaughtycs
The "less than proper" science of "doing it", which involves similar "basics" --- weight, lift, drag, and thrust --- to the study of how planes fly.
Early airplanes did indeed do a lot of pitching and diving, so I wonder if that's where the term "aeronaughtycs" originated, since those initial winged-creations' lack of stability in flight led to their "doing da bouncy-bouncy" a lot?

Air On The G-string
A piece of "off-color" music dat celebrates da crude practice of wolf-whistling so hard when a skimpily-clad chick walks by dat she actually feels da wind-blast from your whooshy admiring-vocalization on her bare butt.
If J.S. Bach heard "what they did to his song" --- i.e., da bawdy "Air On The G-string" butcher-job on his famous and clean-themed "Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major" --- he'd so totally be turning over in his grave!

second childhood
Not to be confused wif da "wholesome" procedure of an adult's purchasing vintage/nostalgic items on E-Bay so dat he can again savor stuff dat he'd enjoyed as a youngster, this snortingly-sarcastic "air-quotes" term resentfully refers to when a grownup begins exhibiting similar immature/careless behavior dat he'd performed as a child. This unwise/unhealthy practice can be especially upsetting and disconcerting to any teenage/young-adult offspring of said middle-aged misbehaver, since like as not said parent had admonishingly "drilled and drummed" da supposed virtues of "proper" behavior and speech into said youngsters, and so they now feel betrayed when they see dat their own "guider and lecturer" is HIMSELF now mindlessly disregarding his own teachings, and is subjecting THEM to da very same "selfish and uncivilized" crap dat HE had always claimed stressed/disappointed HIM so much if any of THEM "stepped out of line" like dat.
A classic --- and hilarious --- case of grownups' shockingly/shamelessly indulging in a "second childhood" is da 1930 Laurel and Hardy film "Brats", where Stan and Ollie --- though constantly censuring their cranky and selfish pint-sized juniors for their disgraceful bickery attitudes and thoughtless anti-social interactions --- themselves actually behave just as immaturely and unbecomingly towards each other, as well.

VHS-preview
Refers to where you wish to view a certain motion-picture creation for the first time, but DVDs or BluRay disks of that title are rather pricey, and so you are hesitant to shell out that much when you can't be sure that you would even like the movie all that much, anyway. So what you do is to initially purchase a used VHS tape of said film for just two or three bucks... sure, the tape may be an old worn scratchy thing that doesn't give all that pristine a picture, but at least you will be able to view the movie and see what it's about and how good it is, and then decide if you wanna "upgrade" to a more-costly digital disc of this title.
Now that so many older movie-titles are available on YouTube and other online video-viewing sites, there is often less of a need to perform a VHS-preview of a particular movie, since you may be able to just watch it online, and thus be able to "determine for free" if you want to buy a copy of it on DVD or BluRay.
