It is a game played with a light shotgun .
The game itself is divided in 4 levels : the torture chamber , the hall , a second torture chamber and finally the cemetary .
every time you complete one of the level by finding all the secret items before the time ends , you will be rewarded a slot machine bonus and if you finish all four levels finding all the secret items , you are awarded a shoot em up bonus rouds worth a lot of points .
This game is a real sadic one ,, not onlly you must destroy paranormal entities like zombies , ghosts , rats and bats and such but also you have to eliminate what seems to be innocent persons as well .
The game itself is well made and has terrific sounds but its amazing that it got distributed without trouble or censorship .
This game spawned a bootleg remake for the ever so popular Nintendo entertainment system (NES) 8 bit console .

In an attempt to refresh the new ghostbusters 2 films look , decision to modify the ecto 1 was made by adding new accesories on top of the hearse and two electronic bilboards on each side to advertise ghostbusting ads .
The overall new ectomobile was nice enough to not alter the already popular look of the iconic car .
Note that the car also comes equipped with a proton particle thrower and giant ghost trap ( featured in the atari 2600 , nes , sega games systems . ) never used in any of the two previous ghostbusters films , but was featured in the real ghostbusters animated series pilot .

Three players cooperative game where each teams could choose from three different colorfull characters , the red , blue and yellow team had each three characters for a total of 9 different characters available .
The screen was splited in three horizontal bands simulating corridors of space structures like ships and starbases , every plyers could move independently of each others .
Many starships , planets , star bases are infected by acid spitting xenomorph ( alien monsters ) and your mission is to either eliminate the alien threat or to self destruct the bases before they get overrun by xenos .
The game spawned many home version for the atari 2600 , atari 7600 , Nes , atari st , commodore 64 , also available for the game cube as a conversion of the arcade game

Get the Xenophobe mug.The ecto 2 or also reffered as ecto-copter is the second vehicle used by the ghostbusters in the animated serie called The real ghostbusters then rebaptised Slimer and the real ghostbusters .
The ecto 2 is capable of carrying 1 passenger and the pilot , it has 2 folding wings , and a hitch cable and is noted to be capable to fit in the back of the ecto 1 once folded .
There is no known real life working ecto 2 the closest thing available is the ecto 2 toy from Kenner .

Get the ecto 2 mug.The ecto 3 is a phenomenon by itself for in the real ghostbusters ( Slimer and the real ghostbusters) is a unicyle motorcycle with a side car , made for two persons .
The trouble with this vehicle is that the toy maker Kenner made their own version of the ecto 3 being a go kart with ghost swatter in the front so technically the ecto 3 is a motor unicycle and a go kart both made for and by the ghostbusters in the animated serie .

the ecto 4 is neither seen in the movies nor in the animated serie but only can be seen in the comic magazine as a flying jet , however , in the comic books it is reffered as the ecto 3 but as been corrected by the editor to be actually named the ecto 4 .
