Australian slang meaning to disappear suddenly, leave a place abruptly. Tasmanian; originating from the Australian slang "to do the Harry", which was Australian slang for "to do the Harold Holt" - also meaning to disappear suddenly (after former Australian Prime Minister Harold Holt, who disappeared suddenly without a trace in 1967).
