urdu 

A mixed language spoken by Muslims of northern India and Pakistan, an official language in both countries. Considered by most linguists to be a dialect of Hindi.

Urdu has been vaguely described as combining Arabic script, Persian vocabulary and Hindi grammar.

Great Satan 

A term used by Iranian leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (1900-1989) to describe the United States, because of US support of Israel and support of Islamic governments, including Iran's former Shah, seen as un-Islamic.

The embarrasing policies of the Bush Administration are making me feel as though we are truly becoming the "Great Satan" after all.

1) The act of taking one's own life. 2) An ill-advised act causing irrevocable harm to one's reputation: political suicide, social suicide, intellectual suicide.

Comparing rape to bad traffic would be considered political suicide, especially considering women are consistently swing voters.
