Similar to a lead balloon. It can be described as "Going down like a cup of cold sick".
When George told his joke, about The Englishman, the Irishman and the Scotsman, in which the Irishman appears stupid, at an Irish social club, it went down like a cup of cold sick.

one off the wrist

It is, indeed, yet another euphemism for masturbation.

As the description suggests, it generally refers to male masturbation.
I spent half the day, at work, in a cubicle in the toilets; fantasizing about rough sex with my boss, while having one off the wrist. Eventually I had to move to another cubicle when the toilet roll ran out.

anxiety

A small word which can describe a large set of emotions, which usually can be worry, worried, frightened, scared, paranoid, feeling persecuted right up to schizophrenia/paranoid schitzophrenia.

Anxiety, within reason, is just a part of life; everybody experiences at some point. It is connected to the fight or flight syndrome that we, as have all animals, have deep within us, enabling us to survive.

It can become a problem when anxiety takes over most of your feelings and therefore, your life. There are many medical definitions of this state of being, such as generalised anxiety disorder, non-specific anxiety disorder, persecution complex and many more. If necessarry, there are medications/drugs available to help alleviate the symptoms and sometimes tackle the cause of these anxiety states.

If a diagnosis does not include one of the main mental illnesses, then it's often likely people will be prescribed one brand from a group of benzodiazepine drugs: The most well known of these is probably Valium. These drugs are addictive, can cause nasty side effects and long term side effects and, if used for too long can actually make the original problem worse, with paradoxical effects. The withdrawal from this drug can result in some of the worst withdrawal symptoms known, and can last for years.

If prescribed a {benzodiazepine it should be for no longer than a two week period What has become known as talking cures are a safer, cheaper alternative and can actually do something to help the original problem, rather than just masking it.

In some cases, such as paranoid schitzophrenia drugs, usually anti psychotics, can be of great help and allow the sufferer to live a far more 'normal' life.

Anxiety is just a state of mind, and, even when having a panic attack and it feels as if you may die, emotions are not generally known to kill you.
My palms felt sweaty and I was sure I was going red in the face, as I stood in the line for the bus. I was begining to feel more and more anxious and the more I thought about it, the worse it got. Eventually, the anxiety took control of me and I started to panic. I left the bus stop, ran home and didn't attend the job interview.

cluck

Cluck is one of the many euphemisms in use, to describe going cold turkey ,a sudden stoppage of the addictive drug heroin and other opiates and opioids (e.g morhine, methadone, codiene, Fentanyl, opium and many more, marketed pain killers)

The term, cluck derivates from the term cold turkey, owing to the fact that when withdrawing from these drgs, one of the many withdrawal symptoms include goosebumps, like those on a plucked turkey. ** In the song 'Cold Turkey' by John Lennon, there is a lyric; "...Goose Pimple Bones" **

Too be fussy, the word should really be gobble as that's the sound turkeys make, but, as you may, or may not, know; gobble has taken on a different meaning..

There are many, many euphemisms for withdrawing from heroin/opiates etc., but others relevent to turkey/cluck are: to roast or roasting, clucking, spitting feathers and being oven ready!

That's where cluck comes from! Not crack!, although clucking has become a generic term for withdrawing from any addictive substace - as cold turkey has also done. But (as explained above) they originate from opoid withdrawal symptoms.

To see an almost endless list of words and phrases to do with withdrawing/clucking/cold turkey check out heroin
I had used up my bag of heroin and had no other means of keeping the turkey at bay. I knew that I was in for a big cluck, starting in a few hours time. By the mornig, I'll be clucking so bad I'll be spitting feathers.

frottage

Also known as: yoghurting, when a spoon is involved. Because of spelling, it appears to be of US origin; unlike the spelling yogurting, where the expression means something totaly different, about throwing yogurt at windows and cars, etc., usually on an Estate in the UK.
Elton was really satisfied after some yughurting with David. It seemed to excite him far more than the usual frottage they normally engaged in.
