A person who makes being lazy trendy. A hipster gets an easy job and a shaggy looking haircut by rolling out of bed and picking out his clothes from the thrift shop in the dark. Instead of reading the news, a hipster can babble on incessantly about philosophy and art, going from one subject to another sounding seemingly intelligent and full of knowledge, but really being too lazy to coordinate his thoughts.
Greta (to a hipster in a Starbucks)- Wow, I like your American style. I heard that this crazy clothing and modern art book that you're reading are trendy now in American Starbucks.
Dax- I don't know what you're talking about. I just grabbed these clothes upon waking so they are my own look, and this book I foound in a trash dump wandering around today and this coffee shop I just wandered into, it just happens to be a Starbucks.

Art that someone creates who wants to create something but does not have the talent to create representational art. Abstract artists are in love with the idea of being an artist, but use mystery instead of talent to be appealing. Professional abstract artists are good business people as they know how to market themselves and their art to be trendy.
Dax: Who is that man with the beret and the cappuccino?
Avery: That's Marcel Beaumont, the abstract artist
Dax: Oh, so he is a Frenchmen who can paint, portraits or landscapes?
Avery: Neither, and he's not really French. I think he was born in Missouri and just took a couple of art classes at the community college.
Dax: Really? But he looks so, so, .. so...
Avery? Trendy?
Dax: Yes, that's it.

The diseased liver from a tortured bird. Often eaten by people who want to feel important and prestigious.
Dax: Avery, you must have some foie gras today.
Avery: Foie gras? Isn't that when a goose is force fed so that

his liver enlarges and becomes diseased? No thanks.
Dax: Oh, don't be silly. That is not it at all. The geese don't mind at all being fed in this way. And it is a delicacy. All of the important people eat it. You will feel important and prestigious when you eat it.

A person who wants to be a vegan and wants to be known as a vegan, yet is okay with eating muffins that contain eggs and dairy. A faux vegan does not always read food labels. Also, a man who is probably an omnivore or a vegetarian, but says he is vegan to date a vegan woman who will not date a vegan man. This man thinks so highly of himself that he thinks the vegan woman will be so blown away by his charm that she will throw her convictions to the wind and date him even if he eats a steak in front of her.
Dax: Belle is hot. I am going to ask her out.
Avery: Belle will only date vegan men.
Dax: Oh, well I like vegetables and I don't eat that much meat.

Avery: A true vegan eats no animal products at all, including dairy, honey, and eggs. They also do not wear any animal products or use anything containing animal products or tested on animals. She does not want to date a faux vegan. I. on the other hand, am a true vegan as I refuse to contribute to animal suffering in any way. I will ask her out.
