Because in whatever unit of time you would attribute to the universe expanding 1 inch it will (as a matter of absolute certainty) BECOME SPACETIME-REALITY as soon as you restart the expansion of the universe. So, yeah, ontologically real wellspring of potential reality that is actualizing itself. Is it intentional or does it just do that? I don't know. But it seems pretty reality-monstery to me."
