A populist-esque phenomenon. When someone adopts position after position because the position’s in-group popularity or astroturfed popularity.

This is most often done to increase (social) media engagement rather than being a sincerely held belief or only becomes a sincerely held belief as a result of its popularity and not its rationale or substance.

The sound a bullet makes when impacting a body.

As a man sat with his friend on the ridge before they ever heard the report of the rifle the sound of bullets impacting his friends torso made the distinctive foop sound.

a person using unmasculine and self harming arguments instinctively (and probably due to a lack testosterone), rather than prescriptively, repeat talking points that give their enemies help.
