doddsy

A Doddsy is a person who plays poker and consistently loses and is therefore a favourite of other gamblers to have at the table as they are easy prey. Sometimes referred to as a pigeon they are unskilled and/or unlucky
We got Dave in the game yesterday, he is such a Doddsy we won all his cash and then some!

turban dave

Turban dave is a gambling side bet in a game of snooker and sometimes pool.
If a player is in a snooker or tight spot he may ask his opponent "how about a turban dave" this means the placing of a wager at even money that the player will not only get out of the tight spot or snooker - but also pot the object ball they are aiming for. The bet is forfeited if after the object ball is potted any foul is made. It can be agreed before the game commences that the person who is snookered can request a turban dave side bet and it cannot be refused by his or her opponent.
Keith was playing Barry when he had him snookered, Barry requested a £50 Turban dave and made it!! It sure was a great shot!!

woody fingers

Woody fingers is a term used by players at a poker table to describe a dealer they are not happy with - they are indicating that the dealer who may be male or female is not shuffling the cards correctly - they have woody fingers and the cards are remaining un-shuffled throughout the game. It is not so much a way of cheating as more of an indication of an incompetent dealer
'The Dealer on this game is terrible, Millie has told him ten times to cut the cards different but he doesn't- he's like a robot, the guy has woody fingers for sure'

creeping turner

A creeping Turner is a betting phrase used first in Thailand then more in the UK meaning a fun bet which starts small but then escalates to mammoth proportions through doubling up or adding to the original bet over time. Many people who have experienced creeping turner betting have described it as both terrifying but exciting
Ian had a creeping turner, he placed $5 about a month ago on Birmingham City winning the FA Cup and now he has $68000 riding on it!

I only wanted a fun bet but it ended up as a creeping turner! I got carried away and now am involved for thousands

Cardiff Troyster is a gambling term for a person who is incredibly good and/or lucky.
They are always in front of the game whatever that may be and always have plenty of cash from winning

dumpleton dealing

Dumpleton dealing is the skilled art of having the dexterity, skill and experience of dealing a game of poker where the dealer is able to manipulate the cards at the last minute or last round of betting in order that a player who was odds on favourite to win ends up losing to a very unlikely turn of fate. Many dumpleton dealers are also magicians and can adapt there skills easily to close up magic or street cons such as 3 card monte.
Ian had a Full House Aces over Kings, he could only lose to one card, middle pin nine of hearts to give the other guy a straight flush, Sarah was dealing and last card she turned the nine of hearts!! She was dumpleton dealing for sure!!
