Emoting
Portraying an emotion or action theatrically; emoting refers to any action that looks like it could be an emote in a video game, or an action that is not productive in any way. Can be any strange action that brings nothing meaningful to a conversation or your own productivity.

Side quest
When something happens or you are forced to do something that changes the original plans you had for your day.
“I am going to that function, but my mom gave me a side quest to go to the store for her first. So once I complete that I’ll meet yall there.”

Cutscene
Used in reference to video games, when the gameplay cuts to a video that is unskippable, so you are forced to sit and watch it. Cutscenes can happen in real life when an event or conversation occurs at a time when it is inconvenient for you, or when you are trying to do something else. A cutscene is unskippable, and forces you to perform a certain task to progress in your day.
My bad bro, I got stuck in a cutscene. My mom made me do dishes before I left. Totally unskippable too.

Used when you get stuck in a place or conversation that you do not want to be in. References the commonly used FPS video game term, but applies to real life.

Hoodsick
Like homesick, but wider in meaning. Usually used when you go on a trip to an area wealthier or nicer than the one you reside in. Rather than miss only your home, you miss the population, the way people act, the food, and essentially the vibe of your entire hood.
I can’t wait to go back home from this trip bro, mfs are weird out here. I’m mad hoodsick right now.
