An adjective meaning worse than crazy, clueless and stupid all put together. The opposite of hende. An unhende berk is rude, ignorant, and incompetent.

That unhende waiter is horrible! He got my order wrong three times, spilled soup on me, and spent all night checking out my wife and flirting with the waitresses instead of serving his customers!

Connected, in-touch, or otherwise blessed with numerous friends, allies, and informants. Well-informed and knowledgeable.

That basher is so well-lanned if a junkie farts in an alley he hears about it...

basher

A neutral term for a person, but connoting someone tough and a bit dangerous. A thug or gangster.

Watch out for that basher, he was an Army ranger.

brain-box

This refers to a person's head, usually in a crude or uncomplimentary way. A berk's noggin or (rarely) a desktop computer's tower.

"Go soak your brain-box" is a suggestion to go drown yourself in a bucket. "He banged his brain-box on it" means a berk finally figured something obvious out.

beau-nasty

A slovenly fop; one finely dressed, but dirty. This term's also used to refer to mobsters, who appear nice on the surface, but are nasty thugs underneath.

Sure, the capo's son dresses nice, but he's a beau-nasty brute underneath that suit...
