Adult Contemporary

A type of radio music, also known as AC, is a genre that isolates complexity. There is a subgenre of pop music that is called teen pop, including artists such as Little Mix, Ariana Grande, One Direction, Selena Gomez, etc. Adult Contemporary would completely avoid Teen Pop sounds and more focus on being alternative, complex and independent, the style would focus on sounding like soul, disco, r&b, funk, electronic, hard rock and pop from between the 60s and the 90s.

Adult Contemporary is common in old school radios.

Pop music

Contemporary, Poppy music. Poppy means Simple and Catchy. What I mean by simple, is that it doesn't combine a variety of too many genres, it doesn't use too many instruments at once, it doesn't use strict requirements: very heavy, very relaxed, very fast, very slow, not using complicated sounds in the same way as Jazz, Classical, Indie, Folk, and typically having slower time durations compared to other genres, average duration for pop (1-3 minutes), average duration for soul, funk, r&b, blues and rock (2-4 minutes), average duration for hip hop and folk (4-7 minutes). Contemporary means it's the opposite of traditional music. Contemporary is in the modern time period (1950-present) and avoids and lacks elements of folk or classical.

Pop music is the most popular and simple genre of music.

children's music

Music, typically that mainly uses simple words, catchy melody, rhyme and repitition. It usually, but not always is old, well known and still in the mainstream. Unlike contemporary R&B, pop and electronic, it uses soft acoustic sounds mainly, and drumming on rare occasions. We can say that the opposite of children's music is rap-metal. Rap-metal is a fusion genre that combines either hip hop or rap with any metal genre (funeral doom, black metal, doom metal, death metal, heavy metal, etc.)

In nursery, we mainly play children's music.

heavy metal

The heaviest subgenre of rock music. It originated in the UK and US in the late 1960s. The differences between rock and metal is, rock mainly focuses on eighth notes and metal on sixteenth notes, rock mainly uses only electric guitar while metal uses generally a mixture of bass guitar and electric guitar, metal is a type of rock that replaces all the happiness with either depression, sadness, anger or fear.

pop rap

Pop rap, mainstream rap music, that also contains some elements of pop. A rap that combines elements of trap, pop, reggae pop/reggae fusion, hip hop, electro pop, emo rap, drum and bass, r&b and drill, 80 to 90 percent of it is by mainstream american rappers. Some famous pop rap artists: 50 cent, pop smoke, post malone, frank ocean, dominic fike, doja cat, the kid laroi, xxxtentacion, lil uzi vert, post malone, drake, blackbear, the weeknd, taio cruz, future, drake, migos, lil wayne, tyga, william or lil baby.

My favourite pop rap artist is lil baby.
