courthouse wedding 

A wedding that is often without a large ceremony, if any, and held inside a courthouse. Usually done when both people are poor. This amounts to both parties just signing the marriage documents.
"Jill and I are having a courthouse wedding because we're poor."

1. Agreeable, suitable for compromise or collaboration.

2. Having like tastes, sympathetic.
Bill was very congenial during the meeting, unlike Brenda who has to take an issue with everything I say.
