Eggs

A more apropos word to describe when a woman does something gutsy or bold instead of saying 'ballsy'. When a woman acts brassy or strong!

A way of paying homage to a woman's eggs when she is bold instead of referencing a man's balls! ;)
"Damn she's got eggs!"

"That woman who just wrangled that crocodile has eggs!" ;)

"Going up against your boss for being a jerk took eggs!"

MIDDLE HOT

Instead of ‘Middle Age’ for folks 45-65 who are still viable and foxy…it can be ‘Middle Hot.’

In age terms, there are many ages to describe younger people: newborn, infant, baby, toddler, child, pre-teen, teenager, adolescent, juvenile, young adult (early 20’s) then jumps into adult for a little bit and nothing else for awhile until you are over 45. Then it jumps from adult to middle age to old without recognizing the minute changes and steps for people in this age bracket of which there are many.

There are so many hot & viable people in this age range who don’t feel the least bit old, just look at the actors and musicians in this age group? Still rocking! Yet the name ‘middle age’ makes one think of the ‘middle ages’, a dark time in European history or someone who is getting old and past their prime. Many ‘middle hot’ folks are just hitting their real prime if they’re healthy and living true to themselves! Middle hot also recognizes when someone is still hot, healthy and vibrant, living a vivacious life and yet is not young.

MIddle age? No thanks! We’ll have ‘Middle Hot’ thank you!-Coined ©DM/2019
So we’re ‘middle hot’ now if it fits, not middle aged.
Robin Wright is a middle hot women married to a man who is also middle hot from France.

I no longer refer to myself as middle age, but middle hot. A nicer way to put that age bracket!

I’d rather be (or be with)a middle hot woman who knows herself than a young person still easily influenced by society!

Surthrival

Surthrival is a combination of survive + thrive when neither word is enough to describe the phase someone is in. Surthrival is moving past just surviving into thriving but not fully thriving yet and recognizes the baseline need to survive in an empowered way and yet embark on the process of thriving in the process.
I’m moving into a phase of Surthrival now and just signed up for an art class even though I’m still super busy working.

Allowing oneself to enjoy life even in the midst of a storm and under stress is part of being in a Surthrival state. It’s moving beyond just survival into thriving.

Human Crush

A Human Crush is when you have a crush on someone or adore them but in a platonic, non-sexual way.

(I created this term in late 90's but can't remember when? 1997?)
I just love Robin Wright, I have such a human crush on her!!

He's amazing, that old guy from the corner market, I have a human crush on him.

(not a sexy term but sweeter way of saying boy or girl crush which is odd)

Tomgirl

A more appropriate word to describe girls who are rugged, sporty, NOT overtly girlish or frilly and less interested in clothes, makeup or remaining clean and pretty while playing.

Girls who play hard and are willing to get dirty and even rough, often playing in and doing typical boys activities, even though WE"RE NOT BOYS! We just know how fun it is to play like a boy ;) . But calling a rugged, street savvy girl a 'tomboy' negates her uniqueness as a non-traditional female. This way that is still honored but recognizes her tough, sporty ways.
"I was a real tomgirl as a child; complete with a boys bike, hotwheels and short hair."

"She's a total tomgirl, she just loves rough-housing in the dirt, chasing and playing hard with the boys without a worry for herself or her clothes!"

A friend who is also a lover.

A lover and a friend but not a steady relationship.

A shortened way of saying a friend who is a lover.
