Definitions by Asriel___LOVER

Noun

1. The act of becoming so unfathomably hammered on psychoactive substances and/or alcohol that you lose the ability to physically leave the location of the high in question.
2. A high which is so intense and powerful that you can not leave the location in which you have become intoxicated, whether because of physical or mental reasons that prevent you from doing so.

Origin:

A tongue-in-cheek reference to the character Pomni from The Amazing Digital Circus, whom gets frequently broken up over trying to find a non-existent exit to the digital realm. The term was coined within December of 2023, when a digital circus fan remarked “I’m gonna get so high tonight that you can call me Pomni, because I’ll be unable to find the exit to go for a smoke xD.” IT was then that the term was adopted for its sardonic value, and also because the setting of The Amazing Digital Circus itself is often likened to an acid trip.
Person A: “Is it okay if I have another tab of acid with that coke?”
Person B: “Umm… Don’t you still need to get home tonight?”
Person A: “Hell nah. I don’t have work tomorrow, so I was thinking of pulling a Pomni tonight.”
Person B: “Fine with me, just don’t fuck up my place if you have a bad trip.”
Person A: “Don’t worry, we good on that front.”

Abstract

Verb

1. To descend into a feeling of abject madness or rage, often tantamount to having a nervous breakdown.
2. To be fiending hard for a substance, experience, or thing, to the point where it can cause a degree of minor insanity.

Origin:

The term “abstract” is a direct reference to the web-series “The Amazing Digital Circus”, where abstraction refers to the phenomena of losing one’s mind and bodily integrity due to total and complete insanity. It is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the mental strain required to cause abstraction, and is mostly used somewhat hyperbolically within conversation. The term was first used around early November 2023 among a digital circus fan who was fiending for a cigarette, and the humor in it ended up cementing it within the fandom’s lexicon, mostly due to its comedic and referential value between fans.
“Shut up before I abstract on your ass, you goon.”

“Can anyone spot me a cigarette? I have been abstracting for a smoke break all day.”

“I stg, I am about to abstract with the way that y’all be acting sometimes…”

“When I am in relationships, I sometimes drink a couple glasses of wine before heading to bed, as it helps satisfy my desire for intoxicophilia.”

“As an intoxicophiliac, I must say that the most interesting part of it all is the suggestibility and stupor of it all. It allows me to be myself while liberating me from negative emotions such as anxiety and insecurity, it is like a temporary lobotomy.”

This word can also be used outside of the common psychonaut lexicon, but it is tied to the psychonaut community, for the most part.
Person A: Agh, fuck! Why does my head hurt so bad?

Person B: Dude, you pulled a napstablook last night while you were tripping on some DPH. Person A: It usually doesn’t hurt that much though…

Person B: You fell down while standing up, that’s why it hurt.
