A combination of "emoticon" and "promote." Describes being "promoted" by an important person in your life by getting emoticons from them in their texts and emails to you. In other words, you've been elevated from the lowly category of professional contact, acquaintance, or casual friend into their inner circle, where they feel comfortable enough with you to use emoticons. Not to be confused with demoticon.

A combination of "flatulence" and "mat:" A farting sound on a sweaty mat caused by the curve of your lower back pushing the air out when you do a quick sit up. This can occur most often when your towel is soaked with sweat, as often occurs during the sit up in Bikram Yoga.
