One tv show that uses this mockumentary style similar to this, that comes to mind, is The Office. The Office uses obvious humor, and pauses to create this effect. The camera is also set up to not be stable, on purpose. I think this makes this style feel authentic. The camera zooms in at certain times, to capture someone's reaction. The Office shows this in the show, and this film does as well. All these elements go well together to create this effect. This style impacts the way the viewer views films and shows. The awkward moments are what really makes this style stand out. You can tell from this film that improv, regarding direction and speaking is encouraged. For example when Gerry and his wife are at the event, i

considered somewhat harsh. Yet immediately, at least for me, I found myself able to understand and agree with what he was saying. It makes sense as you continue to watch the video and gather more details as well. I think these words reached the intended audience of younger people, and I assume even more than expected. I believe the underlying meaning is focusing on less superficial ideas, and more of an interpretation on the motivating factors behind people's actions. This can be applied to any situation, but primarily it is obvious that the speaker's past is what helped to develop the current advice that he shares with the audience.

The first piece of information that captured my attention was when he explained how people who came back from war were doing heroin, around 95% of them stopped. I was surprised by this because I had always thought of heroin being one of the most addictive substances ever. Yet I am still aware of how addictive it is. I always heard if you ever try heroin that will be the last decision you ever make. However I was unaware of how many factors added to someone actually getting hooked on the drug. I think it's a good idea to promote the last decision quote. The soldiers who did not become addicted were happy and fulfilled compared to the others. The next piece of information that I want to highlight is how I think he did a good job
