Nullifies light.
Absorbs or blocks nearly all light frequencies, appearing completely black under most lighting conditions. In photography, describes an image that captures no light and appears fully black.

Photoneutral 

Does not respond to light changes.
Appears to reflect light evenly across all frequencies, maintaining the same brightness under both bright and dark lighting. In photography, can refer to a shade of grey that remains unchanged when inverted, or an image without variation in brightness or color.
