A person who will do whatever they can to act different from society. They think conforming to society's trends is a bad thing and will then try to be individual by putting themselves in a group where everyone where's the same fucking thick rimmed glasses and has the same androgynous haircut. They drink PBR because they think it's vintage and listen to music you probably have never heard of and most of them more than likely have majored in art and think that makes them a scholar. They without a doubt vote for Obama. They also eat kale and drive hybrids or they don't drive a car at all. A nest of them is growing in Brooklyn , New York. Basically they think they are a counter culture but they are too absorbed in their own smug to realize they are just fucking douschebags.
"Is that a boy or a girl over their drinking PBR wearing glasses and tight ass jeans?"

A picturesque, sprawling campus located in the heart of beautiful Dallas, Texas. While some novices to grammar and/or correct punctuation may sling in comments from the sidelines - i.e. the people who've never been to or live near SMU - in regards to SMU stereotypes, such as everyone is rich, drives a BMW, and comes from Highland Park, the reality of the school is far from this fabricated fiction. SMU offers over 70 majors to students, and its student-body consists of students from all 50 states and over 200 countries. As a full-scholarship student, I'll refer you to SMU's top ten business school in the world; its #2 dance department in the country; its CCPA department, which has won three consecutive national championships for debate and research, as well as the 2005 award-winning legal debate team; its advertising institute, which has won two consecutive national advertising campaigns, including one for the State of Florida; its journalism department, which consists of numerous former Pulitzer-prize winning journalists, such as Craig Flournoy, who also is a contributing writer for the Columbia School of Journalism Review; its top-notch English department, which consists of widely published authors, such as Dr. Willard Spiegelman, a staff writer for the Wall Street Journal; and its graduate schools - a top tier law school, a top-five MBA program, housed by a new $18.3 million, state-of-the-art building, and many other graduate programs.
Please disregard the stereotypes - which almost always come from individuals who have been rejected by SMU.
To Note - SMU will most likely be the location of the George W. Bush Presidential Library. Do you think that the president would choose SMU if it were substandard? Think about it.

A two-part paradox.
1) One half of the population of this town exemplify the glorious southern heritage of which one should be proud to have. These are generally the individuals who make it out of Spartanburg for high school and college education. (However, there are exceptions, but not likely). These people know how to shag, hold a door for a lady, what fork to use, and how many pieces of ice should accompany a fine glass of scotch.
On the other side...
2) One half of the population is the epitome of backward America - where individuals in college still try to fight others in groups, or because someone did something to them 8 years ago in Junior High. Pathetic people at their worst. These are those who have been consumed by the Spartanburg syndrome to live off your parents and not leave Spartanburg for any form of intellectual curiosity - i.e. education. These folks make me sick to be from this happy, inviting little town which is home of the The Beacon.
Def. 1) - I don't rely on mommy and daddy and still live at home year round, but strive for accomplishment.

Def. 2) - I went to Spartanburg High with all of Spartanburg. Half of my graduating class went to South Carolina, A fourth went to Clemson, an eighth went to C of C, an eighth went to the Citadel - I opted to do nothing. I work at Shred First and go to Gerhardt's every night and get fat. I suck at life.
