a term for Ari-ZON-ans, first used by people in San Diego for those who flee the desert heat for the beaches in the heat of summer.
Man, look at all the Zonies who are here! There's no place for us regular beach folk to put down a towel and sunbathe!

A zebroid (part zebra) creature that is a cross between a zebra and a pony. They are often temperamental and are difficult to tame and train.
Last year, a zoo bred a zebra and a pony and they created a zony.

What used to be referred to as White Supremecists, Aryans, or racial purists are now referred to as Zonies. Zonies believe and expound all the usual White Aryan rhetoric when necessary but hide behind the term "Zonies" when posting on more traditional sites like newspaper commentary and mainstream blogs to help hide the main thrust of their beliefs.

At the end of the day, these people are neo-NAZI, anti-semite racists.
