role playing

Acting a role that is not your usual way of life.
When Tyrone and Chris got together, they played master and slave. Tyrone kept Chris in chains, said nasty things to him, and in general abused him. Later, they had sex with Tyrone on top.

Role Playing

Something nerds do on a regular basis. They pretend to be different characters and do battles/yiff or something like that.
It's easy to understand why nerds and other losers of the like spend most of their time role playing, pretending to be magical elves and shit on the internet; their pretending to be someone their not. Lol...

Role Playing

This is something nerds do, which usually involves a meticulously complicated, fantasy board game that has cards, figures, rule/quest book thicker than the bible and a load of other wierd things too. I dont quite know the exact goal of these games (there doesent seem to be one), but all the players seem to do is quests and leveling up. Nerds especially love to let you know that they are a level 200 sword master (or whatever the fuck), and this seems to make them think that they are superior to everyone else. Maybe it compensates for the fact that they cant talk to beautiful women without:

1) Turning bright red.
2) Stuttering and saying something stupid.
3) Getting a hard on and being called a pervert.
Nerd: Hey im a level 200 sword master on dungeons and dragons, you are inferior to me you scum.

Me: Good for you. Here let me introduce you to my girlfriend.

Nerd: er er er er er er er...... DO YOU LIKE ROLE PLAYING??? its wicked awesome. Im a level 200 sword master.

My girlfriend: Youve got a fucking boner, get away from me you pervert.

Role-playing

1) A hobby in which players create or are given fictional characters to portray. There is usually a rule-system of some form, of which D&D is an example. In a group of players one (or sometimes more) persons will volunteer to be a Games Master - s/he will control all non-player characters, the environment the players interact in and arbitrate the rules.

2) A bedroom practise, in which partners dress up and pretend to be someone else for sexual satisfaction.
"My role-playing character is a barabarian warrior from the tundra!"
"Let's role-play, I want you in that school girl uniform again."

The striver is an interesting phenomenon that is seen across college campuses. In essence, the striver is an over-achiever who comes from a working or middle class family. He may be an immigrant. He may have been a slacker in HS who was "born again" into an academic wunderkind. Or he may just be an over-achiever who is keeping at it.

The striver is willing to sacrifice his social life at the expense of Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. The striver is the guy who stays at the library long after you are gone. The striver is the guy who takes 30 credits/semester and considers anything below an A/4.0 failure. The striver doesn't work on campus, he is too busy finding ways to pad his resume instead of working retail or workstudy. The striver lets his grades pay his education by applying to ten scholarships a year.

The striver is a future Soros/Fullbright/Rhodes/Gates/Marshall/etc. fellow. The striver lives to study. For the striver, their fun comes from the rewards they expect to receive in return for their diligence. Be it Law School, B-School, academia, or politics. The striver seeks to find the American Dream through academic success.
Anthony was a striver. He transfered from a TTT to an IVY and graduated in 2 years. He studied his ass off and went to Penn Law. He got a Biglaw offer. But lost it all because of an unmoderated mesasgeboard.

Successful strivers:
- Barack Obama
- Harold Koh

SkyPesos

Delta SkyMiles, also known as SkyPesos, is the frequent flyer program of Delta Airlines. It has a very poor value and hard to use.
- I'm trying to book an award flight to Paris, but I only have 70,000 SkyPesos
- Just forget about it, you don't have enough SkyPesos to fly anywhere.
