Worcesterize

To take an opportunity ripe with business and economic-development potential and, by engaging in negative, destructive behavior, smoking it completely and absolutely.
Worcester, Massachusetts, with a population of 175,000 and a business/economic-development infrastructure platform capable of supporting more than twice that many people, refuses to market its significant, valuable assets to the rest of the world for economic-development purposes. As a result, Worcester's business-property tax base, which was 35% of its total tax base 20 years ago, is now only 20%.

Worcestering

A weather pattern in Worcester, MA, similar to garbage storms.

Worcestering occurs at tempratures between 15 and 45 degrees farenheit. The sky is gray and overcast like England. It bounces back and forth between rain and snow and high winds are usually involved.
It's Worcestering out, better bring your umbrella/snow boots/rain coat.

worcesterized

The wretched condition to which all residents of Worcester, MA eventually succumb. Symptoms include jibberish and non-sense speech patterns, an increasingly aluminum foil-centered wardrobe, and frequent trips to watch the Sharks. Note: Time to Worcesterization is different for all new residents, and is negatively correlated with the number of his/her Worcesterized friends/co-workers.
It took LJ about 6 years to become Worcesterized after moving to Worcester, MA. Now he wears his socks on his hands and uses them to talk to himself and his co-workers. Matt works with LJ and just moved to Worcester. He will be Worcesterized in no-time.

The word 'flag' as pronounced by people with thick Belfast accents. The term is a perfect encapsulation of the disproportionate and overblown reaction to the removal of the Union Jack (as in 'de fleg') from above City Hall in Belfast. Where previously it had flown for 365 days per year, it is now flown on 17 designated days of the year - in line with many other British cities.

The event caused a portion of the Protestant community ('fleggers') to make international pricks of themselves as they proceeded to wreck the fucking place, claiming it was another erosion of a 'British' identity they perceive to have been under attack since the horrifying spectre of equality reared its head in Northern Ireland.

The word 'fleg' - and indeed 'fleggers' - fittingly describes a section of humanity unconcerned with knowledge, reality or the vagaries of the English language. Like America's tea-baggers they are ruled by instinct, fear and paranoia with a side dish of rampant bigotry and startling ignorance of the world around them.
"Wat de fuck like! The taigs got de fleg took down! Let's wreck de fuckin place! No surrender!"

"De fleg has been took down! Before ye know it there'll be a united Ireland! Attack Short Strand! God Save The Queen!"
