stalwart gambit

A maneuver in which one friend makes a sacrifice and talks to the ugly girls while the other friend leaves the group, creates an exit strategy, and finally rescues the first friend.

Starwart

A plucky stickler who can at times be infuriating. Devoted to their work, and keeps going at all times crushing all who come in their way. A variation of Stalwart.
Oo that Lorraine can be a starwart

stallwart

A person (in or out of a motor vehicle) who is blocking a passageway. Usually used in reference to a slow moving car or a slow moving person blocking a walkpath.
It took us twenty minutes longer to get to our destination because there were many stallwarts on the road.
