A store dedicated to selling only things related to skateboarding. Most core skate shops are typically skater owned and operated. Of a store sells scooters, bikes, bongs, or anything else that has nothing to do with skateboarding then it is not a "core skateshop."

A core skateshop is usually owned and operated by skateboarders.

skateophile 

Someone who is addicted to skateboarding to the point where they fantasize about it daily. Pointing out good spots while driving. Getting overly excited when meeting a fellow skater, or just hearing the word skatepark or skateboarding alone.

My buddy Jimmy's a Skateophile, hes never seen without his board.
