A slang term for frisson. Often preceded by "the."

Often spoken in baby talk or among lovers.
"Oh god, this scene is so powerful. It's giving me the shivvy shivvies."

You post a detailed analysis of a Star Trek episode, and someone leaves a disagreeing comment, causing you to write a 10,000-word essay defending your expertise. Someone then comments "Don't get your skivvies in a bunch."

skivvies 

Slang for underwear, generally mens trunks or briefs, but can also be applied to singlets or undershirts. Can also be applied to swimwear or other skimpy items of clothing.

Not to be confused with skivvy, a long-sleeved, tight-fitting shirt.
Seeing Joe in his skivvies is definitely an inspiration to spend more time at the beach.
