In urban use this word has been around since the dawn of baby boomers, but in modern day it is a widely used gambling term referring to very good player. Most commonly used to describe professionals in sports gambling. As a descriptive among gamblers you do not describe oneself as a "Sharp", but used to describe others. Sharp can also define the wager to have insight or advantage.
That player's won over 20 days straight he's a sharp.
I really like my odds the sharps are on them.
That was a one sharp play, nobody had it except you.

A Sharp is a rolled paper (typically half an index card) with the end doused in sharpie ink. ‘Smoking a Sharp’ is to hold a Sharp as you would a cigarette as to inhale the scent.
Dude 1: Hey bro can you pass me that Sharpie?
Dude 2: Why? Roll me a Sharp while ur at it.
Dude 1: Yeah sure. Let’s smoke some Sharps!

"Sharp copy" is the phrase sometimes used by photographers to say that the image quality (sharpness in particular) of this particular version of the lens is good. When something is mass-produced, designs are made which define the ideal size, along with the upper and lower limits for tolerance away from this ideal size, for every piece (every screw, hole, seal, etc.) in the final product. When it comes to making a lens, these variances apply to the glass as well as the metal housing. Sometimes a lens which might pass quality inspection at the factory might perform worse than another lens that came off the same production line at a different time.
