An irrational and often hard to explain fear of feet. A podophobic may be squeamish at the sight, touch and sound of feet (if your podophobic, you know what sound a foot makes).
Can range from hesistance to touch a foot to wearing shoes to sleep and can get in the way of intimate relationships.
The irrational fear of the word "poda", which translates literally into "go away", and can be interpreted in some cases to be the equivalent of the English phrases "fuck off" or "piss off". Often feared by sufferers of Asbergers syndrome, podaphobia is estimated to afflict about 1 in every 600,000,000 people.
Student 1: "Poda"! (to Student 2)
Student 2: "ARRRGHHH!!! Why do you have to say that word!?" (suffers mental breakdown)
Student 3: That kid is suffering from podaphobia, the irrational fear of the word "poda". Don't say it around him.
