No whammy

A phrase chanted to give a player luck when playing games of chance, like when rolling dice. Comes from the 80's game show Press Your Luck, in which unlucky timing could give the player a Whammy, which would lose them all their money.

No Whammy

The act of denying a duty or responsibility,thus leaving it to others. When one calls "no whammy", on something, he/she is refusing to take responsibility for it. The last person in the group to call "no whammy" is he/she whom,by default, takes responsibility of the proposed issue or action.

"No Whammy on sitting next to Jacob!"
"No Whammy on driving!"
"Hey,I called No Whammy on the aisle seat so you have to sit there!"

The act of taking your hand, with the palm flat and facing downward with fingers extended, and making a circular motion over someone's head while saying "No whammies, no whammies, no whammies."

Tom: "Hey Bob come here!"
Bob: "What?"
Tom: *no whammies, no whammies, no whammies*
