mj is my bestie boo and i love him sooooooo sooooooo soooo much even though he gets on my nerves and is my biggest hater i wouldn’t replace him for nobody. The MJ effect is a phenomenon experienced originally by the generation born after Michael Jackson’s prime. These are fans who wish they had seen MJ and been there while he was alive but unfortunately since he’s no longer here so they start looking up to and clinging onto artists in their generation as a means of hope. The MJ effect can happen to anyone who’s idol is not around anymore
Michael was roasted in highschool for liking MJ, they kept reminding him he’s dead so he experienced the MJ effect and he became attached to The Weeknd as his new idol
