When person 1 is crushing hard or really likes person 2, yet person 2 doesn't know how to react and calls them main bestie. Person 2 often doesn't reciprocate the same feelings that person 1 has, resulting to putting them in the main bestie zone. Although similar to the common friendzone, main bestie zone has an added level of awkwardness, or confusion

Person 1- I really like you.

Person 2- I like you too, your my main bestie!
Person1 has been "main bestie zoned"

When person 1 likes/is crushing on person 2 incredibly hard, yet person 2 is putting them in something similar to the friendzone. Person 2 either is confused or doesn't reciprocate the feelings of person 1.

Person 1- I really like you.
Person 2- aw I like you too your my main bestie.
Person 1 has been put in "main bestie zone"
