longest known friend - a term for the person in your life who has been your friend the longest amount of time, as opposed to a best (closest) or oldest (aged) friend. Not necessarily a person from your elementary school days you've reconnected with on social media, but someone you still regularly hang with.
Kim and I are loknofs, have known each other since 2nd grade. We were in many of the same classes and clubs throughout school, our kids have grown up together, and we still get together to go to baseball games or to shop.
