When someone laughs in a virtual media, say the Internet (IRC, Forums, MSN, AIM, etc...), they are using a virtual laughter. How can people laugh virtually? Using a series of acronyms.
Probably, the first way of virtually laughing was LOL (Laughing Out Loud). Because saying LOL all the time was a bit stupid, someone made up LMAO and ROFL. These two have opened a whole new way for virtually laughing, since lots of combinations can be made from these two, from ROFLMAO to the incredible l33t ROFLLMAONHAHAANDWSTC.
Note: Whoever says this isn't really doing the things they say, probably they aren't even laughing at all!

When you read something hilarious on Reddit, and you have your pissed off sleeping girlfriend next to you, and you try not to laugh to not wake up the tyrannosaurus rex, it's like your body starts to build a laughter bomb in the bottom of your stomach, that you can no longer contain, eventually letting out bursts of loud gasping giggles while you try your hardest to keep it in. But the harder you try, the bigger it grows. The funnier it gets.

Soundless Laugh - The laugh in which you laugh so much your body runs out of it natural supply of Laughter and eventually there is no sound coming out but your body is still reacting as though it is still laughing. By this point you are probably holding your stomach as though everything inside it is dropping out, your eyes running with tears and on the floor completely unable to stop laughing. To get to this advanced stage laughing you have to have alot of stamina or the lungs of Laura.Generally any attempt to stop the victim of 'Soundless Laughter' results in more laughter, you could say attempting to stop this laughter fuels this fire.

During an episode, the legs will wiggle, twitch, or squirm vigorously and uncontrollably, sometimes causing harm to the individual or to others in the vicinity of the legs. Further risks exist if the episode occurs while standing upright, causing the individual to thrust forward at high speeds in the direction they happen to be facing. When you fake a laugh when really inside you are so nervous. Common in introverts. This also happens when you are meeting someone new or in a new relationship. Normally you report this though to you best friend.
