This is best accomplished by planning the details of the party out loud and in public (school, restaurants, and stations of public transport) so that it seems real to those not involved. Members of the Funderberger Party are made aware of the fact that there is no party when they are repeatedly asked by other members if they will be attending. This covertly indicates to a member the fact that it is a Funderberger Party, and not a real party, without alerting others to the joke.
