The sexual attraction to criminals by both females and males, which I personally have. It is considered a paraphilia in which sexual arousal or even
orgasm may occur from knowing that a person mostly a man commited a crime such as a
murder. It occurs more commonly in females than males and the reasons for hybristophilia are unknown.
The
people with hybristophilia are often called hybristophiliacs or hybristophiles. Hybristophiliacs are
split into
two groups passive and agressive. The passive hybristophiliacs are the ones that would be likely content just from writing love letters to the person and agressive hybristophiliacs may assist the criminal by witholding information about
said crimes, hiding the bodies and even going as far as killing others. It is
said that the hybristophiliacs are more often the ones to come up with the crimes.
It would be somewhat
fair to assume that the agressive types willing to kill someone were already killers themselves (whether having already committed the crime or just planning it out).
One famous example of hybristophilia is Ted Bundy receiving hundreds of love letters from women after his arrest with pictures of themselves and some even proposing to Ted Bundy.
