It was once a word used to describe those who hate others for irrational reasons, for the sake of hate itself.

Today, the word is mainly used by those who are hated on, even though they may be hated for perfectly rational reasons.

So we have controversial figures like Kei$ha disparaging such "haters" because they point out her obvious musical, physical and metaphysical short comings, all of which are very much a matter of scientific fact. These people are no more "haters" than they are "people with perfectly valid opinions".

A: y all these haters be hatin????
B: It's probably because you are a disgrace to human beings the world over.

Haters

A word that 11-15 year olds use to describe anyone who dares to have a different opinion on a subject, usually something such as a band or a show on television. Music examples would be one direction or blood on the dance floor, both of which are highly overrated. Even if the person who gives the different opinion explains why they believe so in a calm manner, they obviously must be a hater of it.

Me: I don't like blood on the dance floor because Dahvie Vanity is a proven and convicted rapist and seems highly hypocritical as they repeatedly tell everyone to be friends and not bullies yet often bullies children on Twitter and other networking websites for different opinions

to be a hater is to descriminate or hate something, someone, or a certain type of something.

If the world didn't have haters then it would be a better place. a much better place.

I mean not that there aren't assholes in the world. to hate somethings is good. i hate poverty, war, and bad shit like that. just try to have some morals, people.

Haters

A term used by others, usually being suburban "gangsters", whose lives are absolutely and undeniably defined by what others think. These people "rumble" often and think of themselves as original and/or indestructable. People that use the term "haters" are the lowest stage of the evolutionary scale. They bleed the fastest and have thought processes similar to that of a mentally underdeveloped cat.

"Why you hatin' on me?"
"These haters be up in my grill!"

Haters

People that make up reasons to hate certain people just because they aren't as wealthy or successfull as them. People are often hating:

1. Bill Gates
2. Blink 182
3. George W. Bush
4. Halle Barry
5. Ben Affleck

I like none of these people either but I don't troll a dictionary site posting things like "DuBya sux Ben Assfucks dik wile stInk182 wuz rApeng haLle barry wit hulP fRum bill gates!!!1!!!"
