Another way of saying “not alone buddy”

A favored individual. This individual may be your preference when attending social events, or simply "chilling". Although this word takes on a multitude of meanings, thanks to the 21st century, one may need clarification when acquaintances might be becoming friends. Friends who decide they are slightly more than friends, but are not a couple may struggle to decide what to label themselves. I believe this word is appropriate for that situation.

Friend :

A person is more than a friend when she/he likes you, laughs with you, understands you , or tries to kill you , and then apologizes for what he did and said that night, while keeping his shit together. Years later , the friend usually grows up and loves you no matter what happens and gives you your space and time to miss her/him a lot and at Christmas you are still friends and neighbors .
