A brain dead moron who clicks on any and all links that cross their path, usually leading to malware, viruses, etc. The Clickie is the internet's version of a walking red flag, blindly trusting every shady link like it’s an all you can eat buffet. As if that wasn’t bad enough they often end up getting doxxed in the process, exposing their personal information to every hacker, scammer, and malicious jackass on the internet. Their digital footprint becomes a damn highway for bad actors looking to exploit their stupidity.

Yo, this Clickie thought it was a good idea to open a random attachment from a stranger. Now they’re doxxed, and the whole world knows their name, address, and embarrassing secrets are all over the dark web. Fucking genius.

When a technical person (developer, engineer, scientist, et al.) uses a UI tool to solve a problem instead of the command line or underlying program.

The 'elephant' comes from the PostgreSQL elephant and the many related SQL GUI clients that allow developers to avoid using SQL from the command line for queries. However, this phrase is not limited to PostgreSQL and can refer to any other GUI or related to tool that allows a user to click around to find their way.

This phrase originated at Even Financial, an incomparable Fintech company in the heart of NYC.
