baulliard (n.)

Definition: A revelatory structural insight characterized by four essential conditions:

1. Accidental

Arises unintentionally, emerging from an activity or mental trajectory not aimed at discovering the insight.

2. Structural

Reveals foundational architecture — a core pattern, constraint, or organizing principle of the self or system — rather than surface-level content.

3. Self-revealing

Exposes a previously hidden truth about the observer’s nature, preference, limitation, or internal configuration.

4. Discontinuous

Appears on a plane of thought distinct from the conscious task at hand; the insight interrupts or overrides the original cognitive stream.
