Balpha Male

A person who attempts to embody the traditionally assertive, dominant qualities of an "Alpha Male" while still primarily displaying the more reserved, submissive traits of a "Beta Male."

A social role characterized by an unsuccessful or overcompensating attempt to exhibit leadership, dominance or assertiveness typically associated with Alpha Males.

Despite his best attempts, a Balpha Male often reveals his Beta tendencies, leading to amusing or awkward social interactions.

A badass angel from Supernatural who is neither good nor bad. He hates being called upon by demon hunters Sam Winchester and Dean Winchester like a manservant. Balthazar also hates Celine Dion songs. In one episode of Supernatural, he unsank the Titanic by changing history.

Dean: Why did you unsink the Titanic?
Balthazar: Because I HATED the song.
