Zombieing

It’s where someone you previously dated (and very likely cared for) or were even in a relationship with, ghosted you, only to then resurface some time later, most likely in the form of some sort of social media interaction or an out of the blue text message. Usually the zombieing happens just when you’ve gotten over the hurt of having them ghost you in the first place. Then, all of a sudden, they subtly reappear (I say subtle – it can feel like a slap in the face!) causing more emotional upset.

I was totally "zombieing" at the thought of my ex messaging me after no contact.

To revert into your subconscious when walking/moving and try to get from point A to point B with little hassle in-between, usually causing you to look like a zombie by looking straight ahead and not paying any attention to everyone else whom are most likely zombieing as well.

I tried to break John from Zombieing in the halls, but that kid was on a mission!

Zombiename

When a trans person for whatever reason has to use a deadname after already having an actual name.

Derived from deadname, zombies being undead creatures who remain "alive" while supposed to be dead.

Reasons are varied but common ones include but are not limited to:

1) Financial inability to transition documentation.

2) Legal issue such as transition not being allowed by law.

3) Semi-closet, when transition has only happened under certain social situations because of safety, employment, or other reasons.

4) Social media companies policies

This list is not exhaustive.

Zombienames are no quite deadnames and thus the person must still be using them in so fashion, even to refer to themselves, for them to be zombiename.

For example, a social media account with a deadname is one that is kept as an archive, a zombiename account either is minimally active or the main account.

I had to go full zombiename at work, it's unsafe as Karen from Finance is a massive transphobe.
