A Wannabe Tryhard is a person who pretends to be a Tryhard. Unlike the Tryhard, who gets their KD from fighting same level players, the Wannabe Tryhard gets their KD from killing low level players with vehicles like the Oppresor MK II, the Lazar, or the Deluxo, they don’t have skill, rather they have the illusion of skill.
In GTA Online, I’ve been killed by someone with an Oppresor MK II for the past 5 minutes, they must be a Wannabe Tryhard

Wannabe tryhards in GTA are players who think they're really good but actually they're pretty trash and don't have skill at all. They will use quite a lot cheap tactics like "Ghost Organization", "Off radar", RPG's, EWO mid-fight, abuse passive mode to sneak on you in a jet (or abuse passive mode in general) or they will only kill you in OP vehicles and claim they have owned you. They dress like tryhards and care about their K/D ratio which they're triggered when it drops. Wannabe's don't really know how to snipe or use normal weapons at all so their only option is to use cheap tactics described above (I know RPG is not a cheap tactic but they're using it in every situation even when they could use normal weapons).

Their targets are mostly men that do not fit in the stereotype, such as soy boys, male feminists, betas, nerds, ETC. Making disrespectful commentaries about their life, and how they're not “manly” enough. While also constantly picks up unnecessary and meaningless fights with others that can easily be solved with dialog.
They're also extremely defensive by the simplest of jokes about them, such as a friend ironically calling them gay, or saying no homo next to him. While often consider themselves as “conservatives” or “alt-right”, which contributes to the stereotype that makes the entire movement look bad.
They can often be seen sharing posts about what a “true men” really is and sometimes say heavy sexist things about women.

They act out traits they believe an alpha would do, but lack insight, for instance an Alpha would never call themselves one or behave in the way a wannabe alpha would. They are Toxic males that are lacking in any class. Real Alphas are usually successful and have high paying jobs, natural leaders and command respect, but have personal insight. The biggest difference is a man with genuine alpha traits respects other people's personal boundaries. A rum wannabe doesn't know where they end and the other person begins. Wannabes are usually low down in the working class demographic and think being a Man is about simply competing with other males for societal hierarchy which results in annoying the sh*t out of their peers. Alphas can be likeable, wannabes are never liked by anybody and have few if any real friends. Wannabes are tormented souls who need pity not respect.
