A US-American is exactly as it sounds. A Canadian and a Mexican are North Americans. A Guatemalan and a Peruvian--South Americans.

Let's call it straight now; let's fix our nation's image.
People from the United States of America are not Americans, but US-Americans.
US-Americans are working harder to humble themselves these days...maybe they're not as bad as we thought they were.

a term to describe people who are citizen of the USA. used to avoid confusion between the United States of America (USA) and the rest of the American continent such as Canada, Mexico, Brazil, El Salvador, etc…
