A seemingly addictive wiki that only appears to be laid back and fun. The downside? You can and will be banned for any sort of problems you cause, no matter how small. Both the members and moderators get butthurt from the tiniest kinds of negativity.

Sadly, most occupants are a bunch of immature twenty something year olds. The main forum consists of the same people replying to each other's posts. In other words, the site is terrible.
Person A on Tv Tropes: I think this site isn't very good.

Moderator: Your post has been thumped.

A website where all those weird things that you see in TV shows, movies, and other media are compiled into one big conglomerate of "Tropes."

It takes a while to understand everything and get used to the odd community; results may vary. Also, the website is very, VERY left-wing; the members seem to take delight in demonizing republicans. It's not as bad as other websites such as Reddit, but you should still steer clear if that does not align with your views.
TV Tropes is a good way to get informed about various media, but don't dig too deep -- it can get addictive.

This is a trope that goes through a circular pattern of change, eventually returning to its original form after several iterations.

Most cycles are bipolar, though, oscillating back and forth between two opposites that mutually subvert (or invert) each other.
Cyclic tropes can often be applied to celebrity popularity.

Old-school, condescending, dismissive, adage as an excuse for, "Wisdom;" hiding the fact that an old person never actually learned anything for their entire life.
Don't bother asking him anything, he'll just rattle off a triflin'-trope and then call you a,"stupid millennial."

The act of hollowing out an existing white male lead franchise, by disgracing and/or killing off the original lead and secondary characters, to be replaced with women, people of color, and/or another identity, but in a horribly political way to ruin the movie and potentially the entire franchise.
Social Justice Trope Examples:
1. John Connor was killed in Terminator Dark Fate, to make room for Dani Ramos to add diversity to the franchise, and the franchise was ended due to this and the other identity politics introduced.
2. Star Wars episode VII and VIII systematically disgraced and killed off both white male leads to make room for a totally non-white male cast, and suffered greatly for its subtle identity politics. Such as the, almost, off screen death Admiral Ackbar to make room for the only purple haired hunan woman in the universe Admiral Holdo.

A person who instead of trying to experience a show/movie,book or game. Will instead run to the website TV Tropes and only pay attention to the most negative comments on the site. Immediately believe every word and base there entire opinion on what was said. Going so far as to argue with wrong information against people who have actually experienced the item in question. They can be hard to recognize in public, but you can quickly spot them online by there negative comments that are either uninformed or lack any information. It is unwise to engage in a friendship with TV Trope Trash as they will change what there hate targets to things you care about. There only goal in friendships is to get you to be as bitter and judgmental as they are. While all most the same, they cannot be considered keyboard warriors because they do not choose to go on social websites or speak in chat rooms. Instead only focusing on digital entertainment or books.
Man1: No its a dumb game and your an ideot for playing it.
Man2: Have you even tried playing this game.
Man1: Hell no the second you brought it up, I looked it up on TV Tropes. People on there said it was was the worst game since Final Fantasy 7.
Man2: (looks at Man1 confused) You do know Final Fantasy 7 is one of the greatest games of all time right.
Man1: (scoffs) Please only in your opinion, everyone else in the world knows it sucks.
Man2: People have been demanding a remake for years.
Man1: That's just lies started by Square Enix, everyone knows that, I guess your just not as smart as me.
Man2:(Man2 face palms) Get away from me you TV Trope Trash.
