A drink will knock you on your ass just like any movie by Martin Scorsese:
- 1 part red bull, for the movie Raging Bull of course
- 1 part cranberry juice, because Leo ordered that shit in the Departed and was a bonafide badass throughout
- 1 part tequila, because it'll get ya fighting with the cat sitting next to you, just like in Scorsese's movies
And boom you got yourself a Scorsese bomb, now say hi to your mother for me

"Ay barkeep gimme one of dem Scorsese bombs"
"Damn bro I didn't take you as the fighting type"
"Maybe I am, maybe I ain't, maybe go fuck yourself"

One of the greatest filmmakers of all time, if not the best. His films are psychological dramas that focus the complexity of the character over plot and he's notorious for his sometimes, very brutal scenes of violence. He has been nominated for an Academy Award several times, but has not won one. His highlights include Goodfellas, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, Casino etc.

A true master of the ART form. A director who directs films to the highest ability and gets the best performances out of his actors while touching subjects such as sin and redemption and always creating unforgettable masterpieces. One of the best directors to grace our earth.

Named after filmmaker Martin Scorsese, the "Scorsese Effect" is when a work of art is created to negatively portray a character or group of people, but unintentionally inspires fans to try and imitate them. Usually these people misunderstand the point of the film and think the message was to try and be like the protagonist. Many of Scorsese's movies are centered around characters like these, such as "The Wolf of Wall Street," "Taxi Driver," and "Goodfellas".
Other examples include "Fight Club," "Breaking Bad," "The Sopranos," and the Joker.

Guy 1: Doesn't Mark understand the point of Fight Club was to show what can happen when men try to compartmentalize their anger and aggression into physical violence?
Guy 2: Yeah, it's the Scorsese Effect at work.
Mark: We live in a society.
