Rakkasan Handshake

A slang term originating within the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), also known as the “Rakkasans.” The phrase refers to striking someone in the face with a closed fist—essentially a punch—delivered as a blunt and often aggressive “introduction” in conflict. While phrased as a “handshake,” the term is ironic, signifying a violent encounter rather than a friendly greeting.
Things got heated at the barracks, and he ended up giving the guy a Rakkasan Handshake.
