California slang (specifically Central Valley slang) for a Meth Smoker, Tweaker, etc. Anyone who looks spun out off of stimulants can be called a pooker. You can also use “pook” as a funny slang for meth, and “pooked” can mean “on one” or “spun out”

POOKER is a VERY derogatory slur. anybody that says POOKER is a highly racist and used to demean individuals who are considered naive or gullible. The term originated in a fictitious subculture where it was used to mock people who were easily fooled or manipulated. It implies a lack of intelligence or discernment, suggesting that the person being referred to is easily deceived or taken advantage of. It's important to note that using such slurs or derogatory language is highly disrespectful and hurtful.

Could torment people, like tricksters, (mucking around in your fields and crops), but were also known to help and warn people. Has made its reapearance in pop culture in films, animation, cartoons & evil bunny iconix.
The rabbit-man apparition seen in the film Donnie Darko(2001) is an example of a modern pooker tale.
