An artistic movement that started in the UK in the 1950s that represents familiar pop culture iconography, especially brand related, in a medium of ‘high art’ like painting or sculpture. Playing with the idea of what ‘art’ truly is. A marble statue of a Dalek or a portrait of a bottle of Coca-cola would both be considered works of ‘pop art’.

Jack-in-the-box-pop-up-artist

n., Someone who comes in and out of your life. There one minute gone the next.
You can never count on this person to be there when you need them. They show up when it's convenient for them, usually with a hidden agenda.

I.E. On the 1st and 15th, I can expect a visit from my favorite jack-in-the-box-pop-up-artist
Sort of like cartoons but in one picture and brighter. Think lots of primary colours combined with popular culture. Basically it's louder than gods revolver and twice as shiny.
Bob: 'popart is awesome!'
Dave: 'I totally agree.'
