Say in an ironic or like awkward situation. Basically meaning oh shit or that’s tuff. A stand-in word for when you don’t know what to say.

Similar to the word oof, but with a deeper meaning.

Person: my girlfriend said she was pregnant, I left her.

You: Oup

Oups

An expression of regret or loss; suitable in situations when something you once loved is lost, misplaced, taken.
Similar to the common term "oops", but with a more specific meaning.

The phrase originated in the boondocks of Ohio.

I lost a studcupcake I once had. Oups.
