Mr. Moon

A creepy but kinda adorable character from the Tally Hall song ā€œSpring and a Stormā€ who talks about existentialism and the afterlife. When children want to know about the sky, they ask Mr. Moon. Overall a pretty nice guy once you look past his uncannyness.
Kids: Mr. Moon,
Mr. Moon: Yeah?
Kids: Tell us about the sky.
Mr. Moon: The sky is deep and dark and eternally high. Many people think that’s where you go when you die.

You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue?
